May 2008, I created my first website. My mom, Anita, and I were going to open Pretty Neet Academy.
I created the website as a Mother’s Day gift to speak life into mommy’s dreams. Never knew how much it would speak life to me. I look back at those words I wrote and realize that I was unknowingly speaking to myself the whole time. This was me, before becoming a wife & mother, before the advanced degrees, before I even knew the assignment consciously. My soul knew.
And that is why I teach. To help every child get into their soul work. This is the beginning. I’m so excited for the ride!

One of my FAVORITE things about Montessori is the Multiage classroom. Look at the pure joy on her face as she teaches our infant (8 months) how to complete a puzzle. The pieces are large enough for the infant to grasp but the work is complex enough to help the 2 year olds with one to one number correspondence and problem solving.

💡 Lastly, when students and teachers are together for up to 3 years, we get to know each child’s strengths and weaknesses very well and gain an understanding for what each child needs to be successful.

🌳NATURE WALK🌳
Today we went for a Nature Walk after lunch. We usually go on these walks at least once a week. But the way these temps are set up here in SoCal, we haven’t been in a few months 🥴
Today we stopped to appreciate different sized trees. We noticed that some were short, some medium, and some were TALL! We had a lot of fun labeling each tree with the words we use in the classroom (*ahem* shout out to the sensorial shelf)
