Hey Y’all. Just wanted to post an update on Daddy. He has been moved from Promise to his new skilled nursing facility. This place works specifically with stroke victims. We are so happy we have finally made it to this stage in his recovery. He had to have his tracheotomy removed and healed before he could be moved, which took a long while. But he is healed up as good as new. His new place is so nice. It is very clean and the staff are super sweet. Dad is very particular. He likes to micro manage his surroundings and they are very patient with him. Here he will start the long journey back to normalcy now.
His right leg and arm aren’t being cooperative, and it discourages him a lot. We just reassure him as best we can. But it is heartbreaking to see him that way. As far as progress goes, he is counting to 10. His new favorite words are “Wow!” and “One time”. He still talks a lot, but not anything we can understand most of the time. He hates his dry erase board and usually pushes it away. We will try to update more often than we have been, but as his recovery will be slow and steady, so we will be here for a long time. I will keep posting about once a month unless there has been any major breakthroughs. Thanks for the continued prayers and messages of support. We are grateful for everything. 💕

Hi y'all, It has been a little while so we'd just like to share a bit of an update. Dad was recently excited to get a shave and much needed haircut! We've still got a few big hurdles with eating and communication, but one piece at a time things are progressing. Thank you all, friends and family, for your continued kind words and prayers!
