Wichita Falls Commandery #59

Wichita Fall and Vernon Commanderies had a great inspection today and Order of the temple conferral today. It was an excellent time for all Sir Knights involved. Sir Knight Ricky Cox, Eminent Grand Sword Bearer was our inspecting officer.

Context : This week is a bit personal as His pup passed away.

Things my girl Ellie (our 14 year old huskie) taught me. (She is sleeping in the picture)
I should always strive to be the person she thought I was. Forgiveness should always be given no matter what. Love is always unconditional. Enjoy every day because it is a gift. Do good every chance you get. Don’t be afraid of the dark. Cherish the people who come into your life. Live a good life so that when you are gone people will remember you. Give more than you receive. Be kind, be patient, be protective of those you love. Don’t be afraid to be silly and play in the rain. That I am one of Gods precious creations. We had to say goodby to her this week, I miss her an awful lot already.

As I said goodby to her, the words of the Prophet Micah came to my heart.

He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?

It strikes me the Prophet did not say that God wishes, hopes or suggests but rather He requires these attributes to be present in our lives and manifested in our character.

So for myself, to be faithful to God and be the person my dog Ellie thought I was, I am going to do my very best every day
