Happy New Year!!! We'd like to thank all of our customers. It was a very busy 2023.
We've moved. We're setup and rolling again.

Here's a few from the year end and the new place.

First up was a 2009 Volvo S80.
Customer concern: Vehicle dies while driving
Diagnosis: fuel rail pressure sensor failure
Repair: R&R fuel rail pressure sensor and test drive

2nd up was our personal vehicle 2004 Jeep Rubicon
Our concern: leaking radiator hoses and not enough connections for electrical accessories
Repair: replace all coolant hoses and add new battery post connectors

3rd 2012 Chevy Cruze
Customer concern: oil burning smell
Diagnosis: oil cooler leaking oil onto exhaust and transmission lines leaking
Repair: remove oil cooler for complete reseal and replace transmission lines

2011 Ford Edge

Dealership recommend front timing cover reseal.
Vehicle had 115k miles. Common issue with the 3.5L V6 is the water pump fails and leaks internally (it is timing chain driven). Most people won't capture the coolant in the oil before its to late. I recommended that while I was in there to save the customer in the long run.

Repairs complete:
Water pump replacement
Inspect chain and chain guides (replace one)
Replace timing chain tensioner
Reseal front cover
Valve cover, intake, and throttle body gaskets

2013 GMC Yukon Denali 6.2L

Replaced oil pressure sensor and oil pressure sensor filter. Verified proper oil pressure with mechanical gauge due to sensor fluctuation to 0 psi. Determined sensor failure. Removed and found oil in connector. Oil pushing through sensor (common failure point).

2000 Honda Civic EX

Engine replacement

Repairs made: Replaced engine due to thrown rod. In picture you can see engine block is cracked due to rod breakage. Replaced water pump and timing belt on replacement engine prior to drop in for preventive maintenance purposes.
After completion found engine hunting for idle bouncing between 1k-2k rpms. Common problem for Idle Air Control Valve sticking/failure. Replaced IACV with known good one from original engine.

Repairs to be made today: Inner tie rod replacement due to play.

Saturday morning fun.
2016 VW GTI
Exhaust downpipe was cracked at the turbo fl**ge. Ordered and installed a CTS cast fl**ge downpipe to reduce the chances of a reoccurance. A little work had to be done underneath to be able to get correct fitment due to previous exhaust work in place.
