Last week, members of the WABA and the Kansas Building Industry Association joined industry leaders from across the country in Washington, D.C. for the National Association of Home Builders Legislative Conference and Spring Leadership Meeting.
The week in our nation's capital provided an opportunity to advocate for housing affordability, workforce development, regulatory reform, immigration reform, and other issues that directly impact the building industry and our local communities.
Thank you to our members who represented south-central Kansas and helped ensure our industry's voice was heard on Capitol Hill. We look forward to continuing our work with Senator Jerry Moran, Senator Roger Marshall, M.D., Congressman Ron Estes, Congressman Tracey Mann, Representative Sharice Davids and Representative Derek Schmidt.

Our national delegates joined others from the Kansas Building Industry Association in Washington, DC this week for the National Association of Home Builders Spring Leadership Meeting. We look forward to continuing our work with Kansas’s federal delegation in Congress to promote and support the home building industry.

WABA hosted our annual Candidate Training Academy on Friday, preparing candidates for success both this summer for the primaries as well as in the fall for the general election. We look forward to working together in advancing pro-housing policies.
