Meet Meghan!

Meghan recently completed her very first ICT Food Rescue route through our Plant A Row Program, rescuing 10 pounds of locally grown produce dropped off at Johnson's Garden Centers East and delivering it directly to New Life Church & Outreach Center of Wichita.

While this photo only shows one bag, she actually rescued several bags filled with fresh zucchini, squash, and cucumbers generously donated by local gardeners in our community.

We love celebrating first rescue routes because every volunteer starts with just one. Before long, you're finding yourself excited to pick up more surplus food and knowing exactly where it's headed next.

Meghan, thank you for saying "yes" to food rescue. We're so grateful to have you as part of the ICT Food Rescue community!

Interested in volunteering? Most rescue routes take less than 30 minutes and can easily fit into your day.

We LOVE community partners who are excited about helping their neighbors. 💚

Thank you, Woodard Mercantile, for taking the time to create this video and help spread the word about Plant A Row! We are so grateful for partners who are passionate about strengthening our community.

Plant A Row is a partnership between ICT Food Rescue and the K-State Extension - Sedgwick County Master Gardeners that makes it easy for gardeners to donate fresh produce to neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
