ICT Food Rescue

🌱 Week one of Plant A Row is underway, and Stephanie is pretty excited about it!

This week, ICT Food Rescue volunteers completed 31 produce rescues from local greenhouses and garden centers participating in the Plant A Row Program.

Through a partnership between K-State Extension - Sedgwick County Master Gardener Program and ICT Food Rescue, excess garden produce is collected and shared with local nonprofit partners serving our community.

Plant A Row is a beautiful example of what happens when gardeners, Master Gardeners, volunteers, garden centers, and nonprofit partners come together to care for their community.

As your gardens begin producing, we'd love for you to join us. Simply drop off your excess produce at any participating collection site:

Last week’s rescue from Natural Grocers included organic turkey and sharp cheddar cheese shared with one of our 19 nonprofit partners, His Helping Hands. ❤️

Protein and dairy products are some of the most requested items across the charitable food system, and we are so thankful for community partners helping make sure good food reaches our neighbors instead of landfills.
