We wrapped up last week’s summer camp with a day full of hands-on learning and fun!

In the morning, students learned about several traditional Indigenous toys and games, including creating their own bull roarers and triangle and ball toy. They also learned about the history and use of atlatls (spear throwers) and had the opportunity to try them out for themselves. Students quickly discovered the skill, focus, and practice required to successfully use traditional tools for hunting and survival and tested whether they could provide for themselves if that were their only option!

In the afternoon, students celebrated a great week together with a trip to Carousel Skate Center. 🛼

We are so proud of all our students for their participation, curiosity, and willingness to try new things throughout the week. 💛
