Our Story

The Midwest Catholic Family Conference has reached thousands with its saving message of Christ’s love through an enhanced understanding of the role of the Catholic Church and its teachings in spreading this message. The Conference was initiated by Frank and Barbara Kelly in 1999 with the approval of the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Wichita.

Guided by the Holy Spirit and through a blessed partnership with Catholic Resource Center, a nonprofit ministry, the Midwest Catholic Family Conference offers a message of hope and salvation in a world of uncertainty and vicious disregard for God’s commandments.

The weekend provides an enticing mix of presentations by world-renown speakers for adults, young adults and religious. Special programs address the needs of Faith for students in high school and junior high school as well as children in the elementary grades. There are opportunities for daily Mass, Confession, Eucharistic Adoration and an impressive outdoor Eucharistic procession plus a selection of vendors offering Catholic gifts, books, music and more.

The Midwest Catholic Family Conference is made possible by a number of generous underwriters and sponsors, in-kind donations and a team of dedicated volunteers who work year round to make the Conference a meaningful and spirit-lifting event with inspiring informational and entertaining activities for Catholics of all ages and those interested in the Catholic Church.
