Not every young athlete with back pain is “just tight.”
Repeated extension + rotation can overload part of the spine called the pars interarticularis.
That’s why persistent back pain deserves attention — especially when it:
❌ Hurts with extension
❌ Keeps returning
❌ Affects performance
Rehab should focus on:
✔️ Reducing irritation
✔️ Restoring control
✔️ Rebuilding tolerance
✔️ Safe return to sport

Growing athletes go through rapid changes their bodies don’t always keep up with immediately.
