Storytime Village

This week, we’re proud to share a powerful new video highlighting Storytime Village’s partnership with the Wichita Public Library —an inspiring collaboration rooted in one shared goal: helping every child discover the joy of reading.

Led by Director Jamie Nicks, the Wichita Public Library serves our community through seven branches and a book bus, connecting families to opportunities to learn, discover and thrive. Together, we are working to tackle one of the most urgent challenges facing our children today—early literacy.

We know that if a child is not reading by the third grade, their future opportunities can be limited. That’s why this partnership is focused on reaching families early—equipping parents and caregivers with the tools they need to become their child’s first and most important teacher.

Through dedicated children’s librarians, family-centered programs and innovative approaches to access—especially near the Maya Angelou branch and the future Literacy Center—we’re building something bigger than a program. We’re building a movement.
