It can be easy to get caught up in the excitement of big cities, mountains, or oceans, but as Tyler was reminded this morning, the Wichita metro area has a lot of things to offer right here in our backyard.

This was the focus of the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce July Sunrise Scrambler this morning. This month’s speakers, Susie Santo of Visit Wichita, Victoria Mitchell of Exploration Place, Shane Carter of the TKAAM - The Kansas African American Museum, and Ben Sauceda of the Kansas Aviation Museum talked about activities and adventures we can all have close to home.

We are lucky to be part of such a vibrant community that offers great attractions and museums in our area that continually explore activities, improvements, and new opportunities to provide fresh and fun experiences for locals. And getting to visit all these places is an affordable experience for students and their families with Sunflower Summer, a program unique to the state of Kansas that offers free admission through August 2nd.

We’re pretty sure the babies sporting these adorable onesies are going to ‘steel’ everyone’s hearts!
