We would like to send a special Thank You to The Serve Team from Radiant Church in Wills Point for the generous water donation this morning. Even with the weather, they were still out visiting locations in Wills Point.
As summer is approaching, Water and Gatorade donations are always appreciated.

Van Zandt County is now under a burn ban effective February 11th for 30 days.
As this weekend has been a very busy weekend for majority of the Fire Departments in Van Zandt County, this is a reminder, if you are burning, monitor the conditions before burning, stay with the fire, and have a water source available if one is available. There is a lot of high fuel out, as well as grounds that are not completely solid and are still soft which results in fire trucks getting stuck while attempting to put out the fire.
“When in doubt, don’t burn”

The outdoor burn ban for Van Zandt County has been lifted, effective January 26, 2026, by the Van Zandt County Fire Marshal / Emergency Management.
⚠️ Please use extra caution. Roads and yards are still covered with snow and ice, which may make it difficult for first responders to access your location in an emergency.
Outdoor burning may resume where allowed, but please remember to:
Follow all city ordinances and state regulations
Burn only approved materials
Keep fires attended at all times by a responsible adult
Fully extinguish fires when finished
