One of the most influential people in her life was her late uncle, Travis. Though he never held an official title, he modeled leadership through kindness, service, and perseverance, even while facing ongoing health challenges. She watched him approach every task, big or small, with patience, humility, and dedication, always putting the needs of others before his own. His example inspired her to take on leadership roles in FFA and 4-H and to actively volunteer in her community, from helping with livestock shows to supporting church events and nursing home outreach. Uncle Travis taught her that true leadership is not about recognition or titles, but about serving others, leading with integrity, and staying committed to your values, even when it is difficult. His guidance continues to shape who she is today, encouraging her to face challenges with determination, treat others with compassion, and make a positive impact in every area of my life. She strives to honor his legacy in everything she does, knowing that his influence will continue to guide her for years to come.

After graduation, she plans to attend Tarleton State University in the fall of 2026 to major in Agricultural Communications. Her goal is to pursue a career as a social media and marketing specialist, combining her passion for agriculture with her skills in communication and leadership. She hopes to use her knowledge to promote agricultural programs, support farmers and ranchers, and inspire others to get involved in agriculture, while continuing to grow as a leader and make a positive impact in her community.

We would like to take a minute to thank Tyler and Manda DeVolld Bred Rite Showpigs out of Ohio, for all of their contributions to our program and FFA members in the swine program!

From selling our members pigs that do very well, to sending several breeding gilts to us for our members show and send back to retain in their breeding program. They donated a pig that we will have processed, and raffle off as a fundraiser, as well as a farrowing crate for us to use in an upcoming project. We are so thankful for all they have done for our program over the last year, and look forward to the set of summer pigs we just picked up.
