Some days I have to ask the Holy Spirit to help me turn off all the noise in my head and quiet every fear running through my mind. The storm comes in stages — first the wind, then the rain, then the hail, then the thunder shaking the very windows of your house. But here is what I have learned: the clouds only hold so much water. The wind only lasts so long. James 1 says let patience have her perfect work — and when she is finished, you will be mature, complete, and lacking nothing. The storm is not destroying you. It is developing you. Hold fast.
