Violino is committed to serving guests authentic Northern Italian Cuisine using fresh, local ingredients for almost 30 year’s!
Last June, the whole family took a trip to Italy to celebrate Franco and Marcella’s 50th wedding anniversary! We explored all over northern Italy, including Assisi, Sanremo, Parma, Firenze, Pisa, Roma, and lots of time in the small town where Chef Riccardo lived as a child. It was such a gift to be able to spend the month immersed in the rich Italian culture surrounded by stunning views and beautiful architecture. Not to mention the most incredible food, which we strive to bring back to the States in our dishes here at Violino!

Today 51 years ago, Franco and Marcella became ONE in the eyes of God from that “I do” the Stocco family was created, struggled, uprooted, flew across the Atlantic and came to Virginia to live their American dream, which resulted in Violino. They arrived in the United States with their 3 children and now are the proud grandparents of 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchild!
As the Violino family we would like to sincerely thank them for their good example of married life, which includes sacrifice, love through adversity and growth in the relationship with God.

Happy USA Anniversary, Chef Franco! 🇺🇸
41 years ago today, Franco came to the United States with dreams of starting a restaurant and making a life for his family. He has done that and so much more! Franco is one of the most authentic Italians AND patriotic Americans we know.
To our Papà, Nonno, and Bisnonno: Thank you for making the sacrifices you did to make this beautiful life for us in America! We appreciate you and everything you have done for us!!
