Barrow County Fire Department

The Barrow County Fire Department is proud to announce the promotion of William Maxwell to the rank of Lieutenant.

Will joined the Barrow County Fire Department in November 2025, bringing with him valuable experience from another department where he previously served as a Lieutenant. Since joining our organization, he has demonstrated outstanding leadership, professionalism, and a commitment to serving both our department and the citizens of Barrow County.

Will is a devoted husband and father to his son, and those same values of dedication, integrity, and hard work are evident in his service to our community. He is a natural leader who leads by example and has already made a positive impact within our organization.

We are excited to watch Will continue to grow both as a Lieutenant and as a person, and we have no doubt he will accomplish great things in this role.
