About Us

On the Hartford/Windsor city line, our small firm serves the residential design needs from custom home designs to additions and complete renovations. (We are not licensed architects nor interior designers. We're professional building designers. We create the construction documents used to gain a building permit and build a house.)

For over 75 years, our clients have come to us from all over Connecticut and New England. We specialize in custom home design, renovation and addition plans. We do business with hundreds of homeowners, real estate firms and development companies. Our projects range from small, simple home plans to expansive, custom, high-end home plans with fine detail and millwork.

This position will have high client interaction on a regular basis. Qualified individuals must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a client-centered focus, the ability to multi-task and to work with a variety of personality types.

Architectural Designer Position

Finding experienced designers who specialize in home design (vs commercial building design) has been a challenge for us. If you’ve been in the design industry for 3 years or more and absolutely love designing new homes, additions and/or renovations, we’d love to hear from you! We’re looking for someone to meet directly with clients (in our office and on site), discuss their project and understand their needs in order to take the lead on the design process.

Preferred qualifications

-3-5 years in residential architectural design
-Experience with or ability to learn Cadvance drafting software
-Microsoft Excel & Word proficiency
-Chief Architect/advanced rendering skills, Photoshop, Clickup, Forte and SketchUP experience a plus but not required!
-NCBDC certification a plus but not required!
-Candidate should be creative, hard-working, detail-oriented, and proactive
-Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a client-centered focus, and the ability to multi-task
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
