Congrats to Rebel and Stella for winning our July Pet of the Month! Here are a few quick facts about these pups from their owner:

Rebel was rescued in Detroit, Michigan, after his pregnant mother was relocated from Florida following a hurricane. He was a tiny little guy, weighing only 2.5 lbs when we met. Stella was born in the building where I used to live; I was friends with her owner, who wanted her to go to someone nearby. Once I saw her face and her one blue eye, I couldn't resist.

Rebel is named after the David Bowie song "Rebel Rebel." Stella is named after the Marlon Brando movie "A Streetcar Named Desire"—mostly because I find myself yelling her name quite often!

Their personalities are vastly different. Rebel is very quiet, easygoing, and snuggly. Stella, on the other hand, is his total nemesis! She is very active, gets the "zoomies" in an instant, and still perks up at the sound of the train. She also loves to "attack" the vacuum and the mop. One thing they have in common is that they are both terrified of the fire alarm.
