Yesterday, 1,200 students graduated from Davidson-Davie Community College, earning a combined 1,750 credentials, including 680 associate degrees, 123 diplomas, 1,019 certificates, and 140 college transfer pathways. These credentials represent new careers, continued education, workforce advancement, and brighter futures across our community.

Alumni, families, faculty, and supporters gathered on the lawn in front of the Mendenhall Building to celebrate graduates from Arts and Sciences, Business and Technology, Health Sciences, Workforce and Community Engagement, and Career and College Readiness programs.

The ceremonies recognized the hard work, perseverance, and dedication that brought students to this moment as they prepare to begin their next chapters.

“You might be crossing this stage to a new path and new future, but just remember that you will always have a home here, and you'll always be part of the Davidson-Davie family,” said Jenny Varner, President of Davidson-Davie Community College.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026 and welcome to the Davidson-Davie alumni family! 🎓

We're always excited to hear about the impactful and creative work our clients do making a difference in the communities they serve.

Davidson-Davie Community College’s healthcare apprenticeship model was recently highlighted during Governor Josh Stein’s visit for National Apprenticeship Week.

Their "earn while you learn" approach blends classroom instruction with hands-on training in real healthcare settings. Students gain practical skills, earn income, and build direct pathways into in-demand healthcare careers.

The program continues to strengthen North Carolina’s healthcare workforce while creating clear career pathways for students across the region—a win for everyone involved.

Know a creative high schooler who wants to make a difference?

Leadership by Design (LbD) is a weeklong summer program where students dive into design, problem-solving, and leadership, all while building real-world skills, engaging with the local community, and having fun.

As long-time supporters of Community Design Studio, we believe programs like Leadership by Design are creating opportunities for the next generation to lead, create, and make an impact in their own communities. If you know a student who’s curious, creative, and ready to think differently, this is a space for them to grow.

M Creative had the opportunity to support the design and implementation of The Early Childhood Blueprint, an impactful convening in Forsyth County focused on the future of early childhood education and care.

Hosted by The Pre-K Priority, Family, Friend & Neighbor Child Care Alliance, Child Care Resource Center - NC, and Winston-Salem State University's Birth to Kindergarten Department, the event brought together leaders, educators, and advocates who understand that strong communities begin with strong investments in our youngest learners.

Throughout the day, conversations centered around early intervention, expanding access to high-quality Pre-K, and supporting Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) child care, the often unseen backbone of our workforce. The message was clear: the future of our economy and communities is directly tied to how we support children and families early on.
