FYI if you are buying an experimental SeaRey and want to do training in your aircraft this new policy applies to you. We will help work through the paper work and obtain the LODA.
FAA Releases Policy on Training in Experimental, Primary, and Limited Category Aircraft On Thursday the FAA released a yet-to-be-published policy addressing the issue of training for compensation or hire in Experimental, Primary, and Limited category aircraft.

Our Story
Our main objective at Flying Fish is to help make seaplane flying more accessible. We do that by providing outstanding training and seaplane rental privileges through our No Limits Flying Club.
We began back in 2015 in St. Thomas doing tours in our Cessna 185 on amphib floats in the fall and winter. In the spring and summer we would return to St. Charles, MO and provide SES ratings off of Stockton Lake.
In 2016 we decided to remain in the St. Louis area and focus on the seaplane school with the addition of the Progressive Aerodyne Searey. The question we received the most was, “now that I have my rating, what can I do with it?” At that time not much. Rental was pretty much non existent in the seaplane market with a few exceptions. Chris set out to change that. After almost a year we were finally able to launch the first No Limits Flying Club location in the St Louis area.
What makes NLFC different? We are working towards a nation wide network of locations all using the same make and model of Searey. Why does that matter? ONE CHECK OUT for all locations. What does the check out consist of? A minimum of 15 hours in the Searey. If you do not have an SES rating a light sport seaplane endorsement and tailwheel endorsement is included in our training. Or if you prefer you can take the check ride for the full SES rating.
