ARBELLA’S “LET’S DRIVE OUT HUNGER” FEATURED IN THE
INSURANCE INFORMATION INSTITUTE IMPACT NEWSLETTER
Arbella’s partnerships with local agencies was featured in the Winter 2015 Vol. 21 No.2 Impact Newsletter which is published by the Insurance Information Institute of New York. Robert P. Hartwig, Ph.D., CPCU, President of the Insurance Information Institute, stated “We are not surprised that a recent survey by McKinsey & Company found that American property/casualty insurers have increased their charitable giving by an average of 15 percent since 2011. Here at Impact, we are proud to help tell our industry’s story.”

In the article “Teaming With Agents to Combat Hunger”, the Arbella Insurance Group is recognized for their commitment to growing charitable programs in partnership with its independent agents. These local agents have been particularly successful helping the Foundation’s “Let’s Drive Out Hunger“ program, launched in 2008 to combat food insecurity. Through “Let’s Drive Out Hunger”, Arbella’s independent agents raise funds in support of nonprofits of their choosing, and know that their contributions will truly make a difference right in their own communities. “It’s incredibly rewarding to partner with Arbella’s Foundation to help our neighbors keep food on the table,” said Peter Lennon, founder of Lennon Insurance Agency. “It enables us to make a big difference in our own backyard.”

Since its launch, the Arbella Insurance Foundation and these independent agents have contributed more than $630,000 to more than 400 emergency food programs, soup kitchens, food pantries and homeless shelters throughout New England. Partnering with local independent insurance agents has allowed the Foundation to distribute its funds more locally and directly to those in need. Through efforts like Project Bread’s Walk for Hunger and the Foundation’s “Let’s Drive Out Hunger” program, Arbella and its Foundation demonstrates the true nature of giving back.

The mission of the Arbella Insurance Foundation is to engage in activities, and to support not-for-profit organizations, that have significant positive impact on the people and communities served by Arbella. Lennon Insurance is proud to partner with the Arbella Insurance Foundation to promote cultural and civic philanthropic activities throughout Woburn.

WOBURN - Lennon Dental & Associates has revolved around family from its very inception in 1965.

The business was started by Paul J. Lennon Sr. DDS in 1965 where he would later incorporate his oldest son Paul J. Lennon Jr. into his practice upon Paul Jr. graduating from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in May of 1992. During the last 50 years this family owned and operated dental practice has seen many changes to the Historic District of Woburn.

The dental practice currently resides at 620 Main St. The dental practice, through their community-minded approach, has maintained a leading role in the dental field.

To celebrate 50 years in business an open house will be held November 13 from 3:00-7:00 pm at Lennon Dental and Associates office located at 620 Main St. in Woburn.

The first Lennon Dental practice was located right across the street at 629 Main Street. Two years after Paul Sr. graduated from Georgetown University Dental School in 1963, he purchased the beautiful Victorian “Trull” house from the late Paul Haggerty and officially started treating dental patients in Woburn.

Dr. Lennon Sr. in 1970 decided to purchase another well maintained and historic home in Woburn to raise his growing family of 5 boys, which is now the current location of the dental practice at 620 Main Street. After several years of successful operation at 629 Main Street, the growing dental practice expanded and relocated to 620 Main Street in 1994. Dr. Lennon Sr. and his late wife Elaine (a hygienist in his practice for over 30 years) were able to raise their combined family of 8 children at both locations.

Keeping things in the family, Dr. Lennon Sr. brought in his oldest son Dr. Paul Lennon Jr upon his graduation in 1992 from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Around the same time, Dr. Lennon Sr.’s other son, Peter Lennon, needed a bigger facility to house his ever growing and successful insurance business, Lennon Insurance. Lennon Insurance would eventually purchase 629 Main Street and undertake one of the most impressive rehabilitation/restoration projects of one of Woburn’s finest historic homes.

Dr. Lennon Sr. would finally pass the dental practice over in the early 2000’s to his eldest son Dr. Paul Jr. who currently owns and operates Lennon Dental & Associates. Dr. Lennon Jr. has made it his personal goal to see the dental practice thrive and continue the tradition of bringing caring, quality dental care to all of their patients.

The practice has seen many specialists treat patients throughout its existence, with Orthodontists, Periodontists, and Endodontists being available to meet all the needs of their dental patients. The practice currently has two full time dentists in Dr. Lennon Jr. and his fellow Tufts Dental colleague Dr. Stephen Cohen, along with another Tufts Dental Grad and colleague, Dr. Paul A. Medeiros, who is currently retired from practicing clinical dentistry and handles all the day to day operations of a busy dental practice. The Lennon dental staff also includes 2 hygienists, 3 assistants, an Insurance Coordinator, and a Patient Care Coordinator.

Dr. Lennon Jr. and all his staff are proud of their place in the dental field of the area and all are devoted to providing their patients with all the current tools the industry uses. The dental practice recently has upgraded all their dental technology to better serve their patients. The dental office has been updated with the best state of the art digital x-ray equipment, intra-oral cameras, dental computers, and dental software.They currently have 6 fully equipped dental operatory’s to treat all of their patients. “The Victorian” dental practice is very unique and welcoming and provides an atmosphere not seen in many of today’s dental offices.

Lennon Dental strives to balance the new with the old, and always tie in the “good old-fashioned” level of service of Dr.Lennon Sr. that is just not found in today’s marketplace.
