💙🧡Although COVID-19 prevented the events, the staff from the Department of Social Services went ahead and planted the pinwheel garden at the McCoart Government Center to raise awareness about child abuse prevention. 💙🧡

Child abuse prevention is anything we do as individuals, communities, or through policies to strengthen families and build community resilience. Protective factors like knowledge of child development, social connectedness, parental resilience, social emotional competence and providing concrete support in times of need all strengthen families and prevent child abuse and neglect.
