Community Legal Aid

Last month, Community Legal Aid bid a fond farewell to Attorney Jen Dieringer who is leaving the organization after 30+ years to join the Legal Studies Department at UMass Amherst.

Attorney Dieringer has been a crucial figure in CLA's work advancing access to justice for residents of Western Massachusetts. She first joined the organization's predecessor organization as an AmeriCorps Legal Advocates of Massachusetts, and has been the Managing Attorney of CLA's Pittsfield, Northampton, and Greenfield Offices.

This June, CLA honored Jennifer Dieringer’s 30+ year career at Community Legal Aid. In addition to colleagues from the past and present, Senator Jo Comerford, Lindsay Sabadosa, State Representative, 1st Hampshire District, and City of Northampton Mayor Gina-Louise Sciarra were on hand to honor Dieringer's commitment and service to legal aid and the clients we serve. Representative Sabadosa presented Attorney Dieringer with a House Citation recognizing her “three decades of service litigating hundreds of family and housing law cases for those who cannot afford it."

CLA is so grateful for Attorney Dieringer’s dedication and commitment and will miss her daily presence, but we she will forever be a part of the CLA family!
