Upper left is where I started till bottom right being just the other day.

If you’re on a weightloss journey
TAKE THE PICTURES!

I have been so hard on myself lately thinking I’m making no progress because the damn scale has been yo yo-ing back and forth for months and it infuriates me. But I have made progress, maybe not as fast as my impatient butt would like but it’s progress. Clothes and bras are looser and I’m starting to see definition in my arms and my mom belly is going down.

I do not snap back, round 2 is proving to be the hardest postpartum journey for me but also the most rewarding

Here’s what I do know. Consistency takes time. Weightloss takes time. It takes some women up to two years to regain some sort of what once was.

I brought my A1C down from a 5.8 which is 1 point below pre diabetic thanks to gestational diabetes, down to a 5.4 in a year. That’s pretty amazing! I’m no longer considered pre diabetic and have no need for follow up testing.

My strength is coming back post breastfeeding and I’m starting to get back to myself as a mom of two and after being reborn twice!

I try incredibly hard daily to love my body and all its changes, it did bring me my babies after all and fed one baby for an entire 12 months!!

If you’re in this season of self love struggle or postpartum. You are not alone.

And now with two kids deep I can tell you working out at home is a total game changer. I’m here for you, we can be here for eachother ā¤ļø

This is your sign that as a sAHM or any mom you do not need to go wild on these little holidays to make your kids feel special. Everything shown was $17 total from the dollar tree.

Sure there’s candy but let’s remember kids are kids. Chase will put his candy into his ā€œcandy bagā€ that’s in the pantry and will ask for pieces here and there. He still has candy in that bag from Halloween. In our house candy and treats aren’t forbidden I believe that if you withhold these things from your kids they have more of a tendency to have a negative relationship with food and from someone that used to eat 100 calorie packs and a light and fit yogurt for lunch I do not want that for them. To each their own though, you do what works for you this is what works for us.

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

And just know that everything doesn’t need to be atheistically pleasing. Kids don’t care about that either ā™„ļø
