***** This Is Exactly What Profit Care Over Patient Care Looks Like * We Are Supposed To Be Better Than This *****
When hospitals like BrighamandWomens.org lock out nurses (Umhhealth.org up next) patient safety is jeopardized while healthcare costs rise exponentially.
The cost for scab replacement nurses doubles and triples the cost of frontline nursing and the most vulnerable amongst bear the unbearable burden and us taxpayers have to pay through the nose for these UnAmerican anti-union actions.
These hospitals are all conspiring and colluding together to break the Massnurses.org / MNA.
Across the Baystate a majority of hospitals together have offshore accounts in the Cayman Islands and are sitting on over $1,000,000,000+ that comprises in excess of over 64% taxpayer provided dollars.
That's money that could go to fair wages and staffing levels, re-investing in our communities and so much more.
These self serving non-profit very profitable hospitals are screwing frontline nurses and support staff and that negatively affects our families, children, neighbors and friends.
While Hospital Executives have a full belly off the backs of nurses our nurses have to go without on an empty belly themselves.
Disgusting!
We all deserve better and we all have to fight to make it happen.
WP101 Stands with the MNA and you should as well!
Apparently not one of these zoot suited pencil pushers never learned their lesson from the record breaking healthcare strike actions taken against Saint Vincent Hospital / Tenethealth.com.
BWH is gonna learn soon enough and so will UMASS Memorial Med Center shortly.

***** Elizabeth Dionne for State Treasurer Challenged MIA Self Serving Deb Goldberg To A Series Of Debates To Foster Democracy So The People Can Hear Directly From The Candidates Over 2 Months Ago *****
Deb Goldberg response?
Crickets...Nada...Nothing.
Goldberg is spitting in the faces of each and every voter including our families, neighbors and friends while giving us all the big fat middle finger.
That's UnAmerican, anti-democracy and wholly unacceptable.
But hey that's who and what Goldberg is and all about.
When you have to run and hide in Florida, like Goldberg, because she is totally incapable of defending such a putrid sad-ass record then her silence speaks volumes.
It's our families, friends and neighbors who are bearing the heavy burden of this disengaged out of touch self serving state treasurer.
Elizabeth Dionne for State Treasurer get's it and she's ready day one to get to work opening up the blinds to let the sunshine in and start doing the job the current MIA treasurer is supposed to be doing bit chooses not to.
One thing is absolutely crystal clear, Dionne will get to work for all of the people across the Baystate and actually show up and not mail it in from outta state like Goldberg has been doing for years.
We all deserve better, much better than what Goldberg brings to the table and frankly it's been nothing but leftover stale bread crumbs since she was first elected.
It's time for change and that change starts by supporting and voting for the candidate who will place the people first and that's Elizabeth Dionne for State Treasurer!

***** Elizabeth Dionne for State Treasurer Is A Very Impressive Candidate For MA State Treasurer *****
Defending frontline public workers pension funds in the face of abject silence by the current State Treasurer Deb Goldberg speaks volumes of how Dionne will approach the job of Treasurer if elected this fall.
The MA State Legislature attempts to raid our dedicated public workers pension funds is a new low, in the barrel of lows, for the out of touch disengaged self serving Senate President Karen E. Spilka and Speaker Ron Mariano.
The barrel of lows with these two is a bottomless pit.
Our public pension funds are sacred for our dedicated workers who keep the Baystate humming along both past and present.
Attempting to pull a fast one like this with out of touch Treasurer Deb Goldberg's tone deaf silence who is rolling the dice with it is unconscionable, unacceptable and downright untenable.
This race for MA State Treasurer presently is a barn burner with Dionne coming out of nowhere backed by a very impressive campaign connecting with voters across party lines.
WP101 will have more on this race later on this week.

🚨Elizabeth Dionne Testifies On Beacon Hill To Protect Frontline Worker Pensions📣
For Immediate Release
Alex Hagerty 781-738-0974
BOSTON, MA - Elizabeth Dionne, Republican candidate for State Treasurer, testified on Thursday, July 2nd before the Joint Committee on Bonding, Capital Expenditures, and State Assets regarding H. 5527, ‘The Mass Save Act’ and issued a statement supporting efforts to protect employee pension benefits.
“I rise in strong support of H. 5527 in its current formulation, which now protects the pensions of frontline public workers. I strongly oppose any legislative language that would jeopardize the security of retirement benefits for state and local employees and retirees,” said the candidate for State Treasurer.
“Public pensions are sacred. The average state pension in Massachusetts is approximately $43,300, and most retirees do not receive social security benefits. Retirees cannot afford to have politicians gamble with their retirement savings, so we must fiercely oppose any raid on the state pension fund,” added Dionne.
The “Mass Wins Act” previously included provision 104, which would have ordered the Pension Reserve Investment Management (PRIM) Board to commit between $50-100 million from the state pension fund for the Governor to distribute in economic development grants.
Dionne continued, “Allowing Beacon Hill to raid the Pension Reserve Investment Trust (PRIT) sets a dangerous precedent. The Governor and the legislature should create a business-friendly environment and tackle the state’s affordability crisis. They can not look to state retirees to solve the state’s economic problems.”
“I commend the hardworking employees of SEIU Local 509 and NAGE for their unwavering opposition to section 104. I also call on State Treasurer Deb Goldberg, who chairs the PRIM Board, to publicly oppose section 104.”
“I spent nine years working to reform Belmont’s pension system to maximize returns for retirees, while protecting Belmont taxpayers. We cut administrative expenses, while investing our entire fund in PRIT, which has lower management costs and higher returns. To have the state raid PRIT for political purposes would jeopardize everything Belmont and every other fully-vested City or Town achieved by joining PRIT.”

***** Mosquito Control Spraying Kills Pollinators & Other Insects As Well As Negatively Affecting Home Gardens *****
This city sanctioned pest control does more harm than good and we are all negatively affected by it.
If it was safe, as the city bu*****ts us all, then why do we have to close windows and shutoff AC's?
This is a malicious practice that must end and it must end immediately!
Holding public hearings and allowing the public to weigh in first before informing everyone the day before the harmful spraying is to occur is way too much to ask with this current disengaged city manager.
A simple non-invasive solution would be to assist and help homeowners and property owners to be able to afford installation of bat houses on their properties where a single bat is able to consume and devour 4,500 mosquitos in a single night that would be a hell of lot more environmentally safe and sound to our neighborhoods versus a truck pouring clouds of insecticide throughout our neighborhoods.
Just another glaring example of City Manager Batista with his head up his ass screwing the people of our city by polluting our neighborhoods and jeopardizing our public safety and health.
