Wright-Patterson Psychology Internship Program

Stepping outside the clinic and into the operational environment, one of our residents, Capt Worden-Baroni, was able to support an Assessment and Selection event. 🥳 Here is a bit about her experience:
"I attended the Assessment and Selection (A&S) event for Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) Officers. This is one of the potential opportunities you get as part of the Embedded Mental Health (EMH) minor rotation. During this event, I learned more about the role of Operational Psychologists in the USAF and how they work to support candidates, cadre, and the mission. I also had the amazing opportunity to get hands-on experience with the assessment and selection process, as well as connect with several Operational Psychologists to pick their brains about their jobs and deployment experiences."

Psychology residents recently had the incredible opportunity to tour the 375th Aeromedical Evacuation Training Squadron (375th AETS) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base! ✈️🩺

From learning about aeromedical evacuation operations to seeing firsthand how Airmen train to care for patients in-flight, the visit was an impressive reminder of the great work happening at Wright Patt. Residents gained appreciation and insight into the complexity of providing medical and psychological care in dynamic, high-stakes environments, and for the teamwork necessary to make that happen. 🤝
