✈️7 countries, 43 - our USAF Test Pilot School continues to push limits.
The United States Air Force Test Pilot School Class 25-B recently took their capstone training to new heights, traveling to a record seven countries to collaborate with international partners. This historic journey featured the school's first visit to the German Air Force Flight Test Center in 20 years and a return to the Brazilian Air Force Test Pilot School after 10 years!
By logging hours in unfamiliar aircraft and navigating foreign mission systems, these student testers are building the adaptability and quick problem-solving skills needed to conquer the unknown. In total, Class 25-B flew 43 unique aircraft types and completed 291.5 flight hours during their training at Edwards Air Force Base—marking a massive 33% increase in capstone flying hours!
As one of only seven globally recognized flight test schools, USAF TPS continues to ensure our joint force is ready for any challenge alongside our international allies.

A ready and capable future force starts with listening to our Airmen! ✈️
At the recent leadership summit held at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, United States Air Force senior leaders gathered to turn real-world feedback from installations worldwide into strategic action.
Key decisions were made to modernize Basic Military Training (BMT Next) by 2027, establish specialized Point Defense Flights to safeguard our bases, and integrate artificial intelligence to automate repetitive administrative tasks—giving valuable time back to our mission-focused and their families.
By building upon recent policies and refining strategic decisions, leadership is dismantling barriers and ensuring that we shape a stronger, more capable force from the bottom up.

🚀 Before there was the Space Force and before routine access to orbit, there were visionaries pushing the limits of what was possible.
The Air Force Materiel Command History Office unveiled a new “Secret Space” exhibit at Headquarters, AFMC that explores the little-known story of the U.S. Air Force’s early classified manned space programs and the foundational role ’s predecessor commands played in turning science fiction into reality.
From the hypersonic flights of the X-15 to ambitious concepts like X-20 Dyna-Soar, Project Orion, the Manned Orbiting Laboratory, and the X-24, these pioneering programs advanced research, technology, and operational concepts that helped shape America’s journey into space.
Featuring unique artifacts and special items on loan from the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, the exhibit connects the groundbreaking work of the Cold War era to today’s cutting-edge capabilities, including the X-37B and modern space operations.
The path to space didn't begin with a launch—it began with bold ideas, relentless innovation, and the Airmen who dared to explore the high frontier.
