Diversified Protection & Investigations LLC

This position is part-time. This job is great for someone who is looking to supplement their current income or looking for extra spending cash and for those that are retired. Veterans are encouraged to apply as well.

This job is a few hours a week and fairly flexible schedule. Assignments that are available are typically in the evenings during the week and Sunday mornings. There are occasional assignments on Saturdays and Sunday evenings and other times during the week.

The ideal applicant will have current valid CPL or retired LE.

Assignments are in the Grand Rapids Metro Area and Holland Area.

Duties include observing the activities in and around client’s property and buildings. Work involves assessing problem situations and exercising tact and judgment in bringing about their resolution in a safe and reasonable manner.

JOB SUMMARY:
*Observe unusual behavior, prevent theft and harm to the client’s property, employees and guests;
*Patrol property and buildings by foot and/ or vehicle.
*Remain at a fixed post to observe activities and check in visitors;
*Answers routine inquiries and directs visitors to appropriate areas;
*Completes log entries and closeout form;
*Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
*Complete all mandatory training.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

*Communicate orally in the English language with the general public in a one-on-one, face-to-face setting.
*Communicate orally in the English language by telephone or two-way radio.
*Work cooperatively, courteously, yet firmly with all segments of the general public.
*Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.
*Experience in security or related field, or course-work, is preferred but not required.

Additional Requirements:
*Must have a clear criminal history, including felonies or misdemeanors.
*Must have a valid driver's license.
*Must have dependable transportation.
*Must be able to commute to client’s location.
*Must have a HS Diploma, GED or equivalent.
*Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
*Must have a current concealed pistol license (if working armed assignments).
