Kay’s husband is not from her part of the world, but as her heart broke for the women of her country, so did his own.

Together they began a ministry to offer hope & healing to women trapped in the s*x trade. After reaching out week after week to women in the red-light districts & slowly building trust, they offer them an opportunity to make a living in a safe place.

There women can receive shelter, counseling, & childcare as they learn valuable marketable skills such as sewing or jewelry-making. Our partners are dedicated to walking alongside each woman, providing loving guidance as she progresses through the program & journeys toward healing.

Today many of these women are independent, confident business owners. They work with dignity, provide for their families, & serve as ambassadors of hope to their own communities.

The work of Women At Risk, International (WAR, Int’l) & our partners changes not just the lives of vulnerable women or those rescued from exploitation–though that is enough for celebration. But such change impacts generations & changes the future of communities. When children are raised in safety & communities have resources & hope, their entire course changes.

Parents were seen dropping off their high-schoolers at a large rental home in Bellevue, Washington. Numerous minors flocked there for parties advertised on social media. The home, though, was also where numerous crimes took place.

Over the course of a few months, officers received many 911 calls concerning the home. Incidents included reports of assaults, weapons, minors possessing alcohol–& human trafficking.

Multiple women told detectives they had been recruited into an adult-content business using platforms such as OnlyFans and Chaturbate. They were promised significant earnings, but after signing up the perpetrators changed their passwords, allowing them to manage operations and keep the money.

The women were pressured to produce increasingly explicit content, recruit additional women, and work long hours. Upon resistance, physical violence, intimidation, and humiliation were used to maintain control over the women.

A 21-year-old man, suspected of being the operation’s leader, is currently held on bail.
