The average life span of a tank-type water heater is 8-12 years if it's gas and 10-15 years if it's electric. However, we have seen a 29-year-old water heater still running!

All tank-type water heaters have a T&P (temperature and pressure) relief valve. This valve is a safety mechanism that's designed to protect you and the water heater. If this valve is dripping, give us a call. It's usually an indication of another issue.
