We are excited to be recognized by the League of American Bicyclists as a Silver Bicycle Friendly Community! It is great to see York acknowledged for our efforts to make trail connections, improve safety, and create opportunities for residents and visitors to ride through the Zagster Bike Share program. To celebrate this award, please join us for a community bike meetup to take place on the York County Heritage Rail Trail at King St. (near the rabbittransit Transfer Center) on Sunday, June 10 at 12:00pm.

On , we celebrate the York County Heritage Rail Trail, an unconventional gateway into Downtown York. Connected with Maryland’s Torrey C. Brown Trail, the Heritage Rail Trail runs north from the Mason-Dixon Line all the way to historic Downtown York. In between, you’ll find charming small towns, the historic Howard Tunnel and scenic views of York County’s countryside. Keep an eye out for the replica Civil War-era steam engine that chugs along the tracks around New Freedom!
