Home School Day at The National Watch and Clock Museum in Columbia, PA. Helping youngsters learn the intricacies of being a watchmaker. I volunteered for “Home School Day” from 2010-2020 then took a break during COVID. This is the first year it returned and I couldn’t be more excited to reintroduce it. I volunteered with my buddy Lee Davis who tackled “stenciling” for reverse painting on clock glass. This is one of my favorite events as the kids typically listen better than teaching adults, and it’s a good reminder that we may just make it as a society with seeing how bright some of these kids are.

Hard to believe this was 17 years ago when I was getting ready to graduate from the first horological school I attended, the NAWCC School of Horology. Just a young buck, obsessed with the great George Daniels. Fast forward 17 years and I finally got to meet his successor, Roger Smith. How time flies!
