September 19th!! 💚

Our golf outing was such a success! But we have more things to get funded!

Hence our next fundraising event!
🎪✨ The Annual Gala & Silent Auction ✨🎪

In an effort to be more transparent about costs, funding from this event goes toward:
- The senior scholarship award: $1000
- The next round of board prep materials (Apex) for the juniors: estimated at $7,905.60
- Covering the cost of the SEE exam (reimbursement for a passing score) to the seniors: $285 per student ($5,130 for all 18)

We can’t keep funding these things to support the current SRNAs without you. I encourage you to reflect where you were during the program…trying to pay bills while trying to put yourself through school for a better life ahead. Sure there’s loans, but the less they have to worry about, the better. Can you give back to support those in that situation currently?

So we hope to see you there to show support for the ones you’ve already continued to pave the way for! Mark your calendars friends! This one is going to be even better than the previous one (and we had SO much fun last year!!). It just keeps getting better!

With the attendance we had last year, we are expanding spaces and table counts as we are expecting to sell out this year!!Tickets go on sale soon- stay tuned!

✨ Alumni Spotlight: Giving Back ✨

We are proud to recognize one of our York College Nurse Anesthesia Program alumni, whose commitment to service extends far beyond the operating room.

During her time in the program, she participated in a medical mission trip to Africa, exemplifying the compassion and dedication that define our profession. Today, she continues that spirit of service as a donor to SOFA.

“I am forever grateful for the SOFA foundation and the donors who invest in students. Because of the support of SOFA, I was able to embark on a global health medical trip in Mauritania, providing anesthesia alongside my classmate and professor. That week providing anesthetic and nursing care to a variety of patients and procedures truly challenged me, humbled me, and allowed me to grow exponentially in my SRNA journey and influenced the way I practice today as a CRNA. I feel incredibly blessed and honored to have had the opportunity to serve the Mauritania people, which wouldn’t have been possible without the SOFA foundation. SOFA’s support for the next generation goes beyond finances. It is a testament to the culture at YCP NAP, and I am excited to now be a part of SOFA to pay it forward for future SRNAs.”

Her generosity helps support opportunities for current and future nurse anesthesia students, ensuring the next generation has the resources they need to succeed.

Need CEUs?!

Don’t forget to register for the next case study series where students just like these four from the last series present their projects! The NAP is bringing back the Saturday case study series as York NAP students continue to meet their graduation requirements. We’re teaming up with the program to bring back CEUs to our anesthesia community! We will offer CEUs through the AANA and registration will be open to all anesthesia providers as well as RNs and APRNs interested in applying to the program.

The funds we raise go directly to SOFA and back to the students as we strive toward our mission!
