We are excited to announce our newest Board Member, Antoinette Ferry! Antoinette brings more than 20 years of experience in banking, lending, and business to the Starting Point Board of Directors. After a successful 20-year banking career, she transitioned into commercial real estate and now leads a dedicated commercial real estate division as a licensed REALTOR® for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, Heymann Williams Realty. For the past decade, she has worked with businesses throughout Nassau County, Florida, helping owners and investors evaluate opportunities and make informed financial decisions. With academic backgrounds in business and education, Antoinette offers a practical perspective on the intersection of finance, real estate, economic growth, and community development.

On joining the Board, Antoinette shares, “I’m honored to join the Board of Directors at Starting Point Behavioral Health. I strongly believe in the organization’s mission to provide critical mental health and addiction recovery services to our community. I’m excited to leverage my business and community relationships to help raise awareness of the resources available and support the important work of ensuring those who need help can access it.”

June is PTSD (Post-traumatic Stress Disorder) awareness month. Post-traumatic stress is not a sign of weakness, but a natural reaction of our brain to an unusual event such as a natural disaster, war, fire, car accident, or assault. PTSD is when this natural response continues even after we are safe. Evidence-based treatments for it may include guided visualization, structured narrative therapy, coping skills, increasing an overall sense of safety, and guided eye-movements which support processing the traumatic events of our past.
