We're happy to welcome Sharlene Sy, MD, to Onvida Health!

Dr. Sy is board certified in pediatrics and board eligible in pediatric infectious disease. She earned her medical degree from the Cebu Institute of Medicine in Cebu City, Philippines, completed her first pediatrics residency at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City, Philippines and her second pediatrics residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Flushing, NY. She also completed a fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in Bronx, NY.

Her clinical interests include asthma, autism, vaccinations, antimicrobial stewardship and pediatric infectious diseases.

Dr. Sy is now accepting new patients at Onvida Health Foothills Medical Plaza (11351 S. Frontage Road, Yuma, AZ 85367). To schedule an appointment, call 928-336-4000.

Thanks to the Liggett Family, the Foundation of Onvida Health had the privilege of distributing meal vouchers to loved ones on both Mother's Day and Father's Day this year.

For the past four years, the Liggett Family has sponsored meal vouchers for the loved ones of patients spending Mother's Day and Father's Day at the hospital. Thanks to their generosity, more than 1,500 meals have been provided to families during some of life's most challenging moments.

What started as a thoughtful gesture has become a special tradition that reflects the power of compassion and community. We are grateful for the Liggett Family's continued commitment to supporting local families and making a difference when it matters most.
