Alexandr Laime, a romantic and dreamer at heart, ventured into the Venezuelan jungles in search of the "River of Diamonds." Besides diamonds, what else did Laime find in the caves of Angel Falls?

This documentary, made in 2011, offers a glimpse into the fascinating life of Aleksandrs Laime, the Latvian explorer who fell in love with Venezuela to the point of making it his permanent home. Despite not being able to visit Kamarata during filming, the film seeks to evoke memories in those who knew Laime, a man who deeply loved this land. We hope that sharing it will help us collect stories and anecdotes about Laime's life in Kamarata, as this stage of his life has little documentation.
