Bá Lễ Well - an everlasting source in the heart of the ancient town

Tucked away in a small alley off Phan Châu Trinh street, Bá Lễ Well bears the cultural imprint of the ancient Champa civilization, with its square structure, brick walls made of old masonry, and a wooden frame of ironwood. The well has undergone several restorations over time, the most significant funded by Madam Bá Lễ, from whom it takes its name.
For the people of Hội An, Bá Lễ Well is inseparable from daily life. Its water is used to prepare herbal medicines, cook the famous Cao Lầu noodles, and meet everyday household needs.
Providing fresh, clean water all year round, Bá Lễ Well is regarded as a cultural lifeline flowing through the heritage town.
