1️⃣ Discover the local life around Hoan Kiem Lake: Along the banks of the lake, travelers can find the locals jogging, exercising and enjoying a coffee. This peaceful lake is associated with a legend when Emperor Le Loi returned the sword to God after using it to defeat the Chinese invaders.
2️⃣ Take a walking tour around the old streets: The Old Quarter is a combination of traditional architecture with Buddhist pagodas and ancient house and French-colonial buildings. 4️⃣ Take a photo of St. Joseph’s Cathedral of Hanoi: Located in the heart of the Old Quarter, St. Joseph’s Cathedral (Nha Tho Lon) is one of the oldest colonial buildings in Hanoi. The cathedral was built in 1886 and inspired by Notre Dame de Paris.
5️⃣ Sampling local food: It is impossible to stroll around the Old Quarter without detecting the appealing smell of local cuisine from the street vendors.
