Asian Turtle Program

Chương trình Bảo tồn Rùa châu Á (ATP) - tổ chức Indo-Myanmar Conservation - chính thức mở cổng nhận hồ sơ đăng ký học bổng “Khóa đào tạo kỹ năng nghiên cứu thực địa Rùa cạn và rùa nước ngọt" năm 2026.

Đặc biệt, chương trình năm nay có sự tham gia đồng hành của hai đối tác chiến lược: Viện Sinh thái học Miền Nam (SIE) và Viện Nghiên cứu Vườn thú và Động vật hoang dã Leibniz (IZW). Ban tổ chức sẽ hỗ trợ hoàn toàn học phí và chi phí sinh hoạt tại Vườn Quốc gia cho những học viên trúng tuyển.

A unique chance to learn about the Turtles of Vietnam!
We will host the Tortoise and Freshwater Turtle Field Skills Training Course 2026 for university students and young conservationists in the last week of March at Cuc Phuong National Park, Ninh Binh, Vietnam from 20th to 30th March 2026. The ATP/IMC will cover course fees, including materials, food, accommodation, and reasonable transport costs for course participants.

Interested candidates should complete the online application form (below link) before 24:00hrs on the 23rd of February 2026 (GMT+7).

Great news for sea turtle conservation from Con Dao National Park, Vietnam – Con Dao is home to up to 90% of Vietnam's sea turtle nesting population. In the first half of 2025 alone, 553 nests (over 54,000 eggs) of Green Sea Turtles were relocated for protection during incubation. With continuous 24/7 patrols to protect the nesting. Since 2019, more than 13,600 nests have been protected, with nearly 949,000 baby turtles released. This success shows good progress for marine turtle protection in Vietnam.
