Youth Voices Driving the Future of Safer Cities in An Giang 🚲🌆

On April 24, students, teachers, and government leaders came together in An Giang Province to launch Youth Action for Livable Cities, empowering young people to help shape safer, more sustainable urban mobility.

Led by AIP Foundation in partnership with the International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP) and Youth for Road Safety (YOURS), and supported by Fondation Botnar and the FIA Foundation, the event placed youth at the center of conversations about the future of their cities.

Students from six schools shared their ideas through creative booths and built models of their “City of Dreams.” The event was highlighted by a dynamic debate session focused on ‘The role of youth in the decision-making process for implementing mobility infrastructure renovation solutions,” where students were empowered to emphasize the essential role of youth voices to improve well-being and promote sustainable traffic safety.

Their message was clear–there can be no action without youth.

The event also introduced youth leader groups who will continue turning ideas into action—supported by tools like the Youth Engagement App (YEA) and strong collaboration with local authorities.

Together, we’re building a future where young people are not just road users—but decision-makers shaping safer, more livable cities.
