Trong nhiều năm qua, Excel là “cứu tinh” cho các doanh nghiệp vừa và nhỏ (SME) tại Việt Nam. Từ danh sách khách hàng, phân ca nhân viên cho đến ghi nhận doanh thu, mọi thứ đều nằm gọn trong những file Excel đầy màu sắc. Nhưng khi khách hàng ngày càng đông, đội ngũ lớn dần, quy trình phức tạp hơn, Excel bắt đầu bộc lộ những hạn chế nghiêm trọng: dữ liệu dễ sai sót, khó kiểm soát, phụ thuộc vào một vài cá nhân am hiểu cách sử dụng.

Nghiên cứu của McKinsey chỉ ra rằng tỷ lệ thất bại của các dự án chuyển đổi số lên tới 70%, trong đó SME gặp nhiều khó khăn hơn do phải cân bằng giữa áp lực tài chính ngắn hạn và nhu cầu đổi mới dài hạn.

Vấn đề cốt lõi không phải ở Excel, mà ở chỗ công cụ này không được thiết kế để đáp ứng mô hình vận hành theo thời gian thực. Doanh nghiệp hiện đại cần một hệ thống thống nhất, tự động hóa và ổn định để giúp họ ra quyết định nhanh chóng và chính xác hơn dựa trên dữ liệu.

For many years, Excel has been a “lifesaver” for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam. From customer lists and staff shift schedules to revenue tracking, everything has been neatly contained in colorful Excel spreadsheets. However, as the customer base grows, teams expand, and processes become more complex, Excel begins to reveal serious limitations: data is prone to errors, difficult to control, and heavily dependent on a few individuals who truly understand how to use it.

Research by McKinsey indicates that the failure rate of digital transformation projects can be as high as 70%, with SMEs facing even greater challenges as they must balance short-term financial pressures with long-term innovation needs.

The core issue is not Excel itself, but the fact that it was never designed to support real-time operational models. Modern businesses require a unified, automated, and stable system that enables faster and more accurate data-driven decision-making.

AI is no longer just a standalone support tool; it has become an infrastructure layer shaping the operational foundation of future enterprises—playing a role similar to the Internet and cloud computing in previous decades.

Competitive advantage in the AI era does not come from using the most powerful model, but from how effectively a company integrates AI with data, processes, and people.
