📍This week marked the official launch of the NCD Leadership Course, a two-week programme that brings together emerging professionals to strengthen leadership, policy analysis, advocacy, and evidence-informed decision-making for the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases.

🔹Day 1: The course opened with an introduction and participants selected one of four priority topics: to***co control, unhealthy diet and obesity, alcohol, or physical inactivity. Working groups began defining public health problems that they will continue developing throughout the course.

🔹Days 2-3: Participants explored how health policies are designed, analysed, and adopted, while comparing Kosovo's policies with WHO recommendations.

🔹Days 4-5: The focus shifted to leadership and stakeholder engagement, with participants discussing different leadership approaches and learning how to identify the key actors who influence public health policy.

The course continues next week and final presentations are on 17 July 2026.
