🔥 PHOENIX TECHNICAL ADVICE: PROTECT UV INK FROM LIGHT

UV ink can begin curing when exposed to sunlight or strong UV light—even before it reaches the media.

Keep ink bottles, tanks, tubes, dampers and printheads protected from direct light. Always close printer covers during operation, store UV ink in opaque containers and never leave the UV lamps on during maintenance.

Early warning signs include:

• Thickened or gel-like ink
• Particles inside dampers or pipes
• Restricted ink flow
• Repeated nozzle blockages
• Sudden printhead starvation

Also avoid looking directly at active UV lamps. UV radiation can damage the eyes and skin, so shielding and proper protective equipment are essential.

UV ink belongs on the media—not curing inside the ink system.
