At Literacy Lab we work on phonemic awareness, auditory perception as well as spelling, reading, writing, and comprehension skills.

Each activity is designed in an age-appropriate manner to ensure learners read with understanding—not just from memory.

Our goal is to equip learners with the skills to spell from a place of knowledge, making it automatic and natural.

Children who can spell can always read, but children who can read can’t always spell—that’s why our centre is focused around spelling.

Our programme is best implemented to ensure a strong foundation as well as for learners with Dyslexia or spelling difficulties.

Dear followers,

Back in 2018, at just 22 years old, God led me on a path I never imagined—starting my very own business. With a heart that overflows through gift-giving, I found pure joy in helping others bring their personalized gifting dreams to life. That’s how Gifted.SA was born.

Throughout my journey as a small business owner, I’ve learned so many invaluable lessons:
• Relationships always come first.
• Time management is mandatory.
• If you want to be different, you have to do something different.

But above all, I’ve learned the power of community, the strength of word-of-mouth, and the beauty of loyalty. And for all of you who have stuck around—thank you.

In July 2022, through God’s abundant blessing, I stepped into a new role with little expectation but a heart full of praise: I was appointed as a Preschool Principal at the very place l still get to call home.

Yet, something tugged at me beyond school walls. My passion to expose more children who struggle with reading, writing and spelling skills, to more effective methods of teaching was a purpose placed on my path. That’s how Literacy Lab was born. No business plan. No premises. No promises—just one child who needed help.. and a calling I couldnt avoid. Which brings me to this page. What was once Gifted.SA is now officially Literacy Lab.

The name may be different, the purpose even deeper, but the heart behind it remains the same.

It took me over five years to build this beautiful community of followers, and I would be so grateful if you chose to stay connected. While this space may no longer be “Gin and Glitter,” I promise you it will be filled with purpose, a little humor, and a whole lot of heart.

As we continue this journey, I’d love if you could help us grow—like, share, comment, and spread the word. Together, we can reach more children and make a difference… one child at a time.
