Date: 10 November 2025

During routine patrols, a patrolling security officer observed two suspicious males walking along the street. The officer immediately radioed the area response vehicle for assistance.

While the call was being made, the two suspects vandalized a municipal water meter, causing water to flow uncontrollably. The suspects then fled the scene on foot.

Our area response vehicle, together with security officers from neighboring sites, quickly responded and intercepted the suspects. One suspect managed to escape, while the other was apprehended in possession of various tools and stolen items, including a plastic firearm that could have been used for criminal purposes.

The detained suspect was handed over to SAPS for further investigation and processing.

This successful operation was the result of quick thinking, effective communication, and a fast radio response network, leading to a swift and silent arrest.

Security Officers monitoring CCTV identified three suspicious males loitering near the site. Based on suspicion of unlawful intent, the team was deployed promptly using radio communications. Internal security officers secured the inside of the premises while response teams covered the rail side. This coordinated and disruptive tactic successfully prevented a breach.
