The uncomfortable truth is that most of the "fat-burning" pills, juices, detox teas, and miracle weight-loss products are selling hope far more than they are selling fat loss.
What actually happens?
Most of these products work through one or more of these mechanisms:
1. Appetite suppression β you eat less.
Stimulants β caffeine and similar ingredients increase energy and slightly increase calorie expenditure.
2. Laxative effect β you spend more time on the toilet.
3. Diuretic effect β you lose water weight through increased urination.
4. Placebo effect β people start eating better because they're motivated after buying the product.
None of these directly "melt fat."
How much fat do people actually lose?
Detox teas and slimming teas
Most of the initial weight loss is:
β Water
β Stomach contents
β Intestinal contents
Not body fat.
Research reviews have found little evidence that detox teas produce meaningful long-term fat loss. Any weight loss is usually temporary and returns when normal eating and hydration resume.
Typical results
A person may see:
β 1β3 kg down in the first week
β Mostly water and gut contents
After a few weeks many people regain it because body fat was never significantly reduced.
Medical side effects of detox teas and "fat-burning juices"
Common side effects:
β Diarrhea
β Stomach cramps
β Nausea
β Dehydration
β Dizziness
β Headaches
β Electrolyte imbalances
β Poor exercise performance
More serious reported effects:
β Heart rhythm disturbances
β Liver injury
β Seizures
β Stroke
β Heart attack (with certain stimulant-containing products)
Some products have even been found to contain undeclared pharmaceutical ingredients.

Mental health is one of the most overlooked benefits of exercise.
Most people start training because they want to lose weight, get stronger, or improve their fitness. What many don't realize is that regular exercise can have a profound impact on anxiety, stress, depression, self-confidence, sleep quality, and overall mental well-being.
Science has shown that exercise helps release endorphins and other neurotransmitters that improve mood, reduce stress, and help the brain function more effectively. It is one of the most powerful tools available to support both physical and mental health.
You don't need to be an athlete. You don't need to be fit before you start. You simply need to begin.
Every workout is an investment in your body. Every workout is an investment in your mind.

Two sessions done today. πͺ
The first session was legs. Most people dread leg day, but I love it. Not because it's easy, but because it tests you mentally. When your legs are burning, your lungs are working overtime, and every rep feels heavier than the last, you find out what you're really made of.
The second session was Olympic lifting. There's still plenty to work on technically, but every session is another step forward. Progress isn't about perfectionβit's about showing up consistently and putting in the work.
Some days you feel strong. Some days you don't. Either way, the work gets done.
