It was truly an honour to address the Breede Valley GBV Ambassadors Launch — an initiative that does not simply mark a programme, but declares a conviction: that violence has no home here, that abuse will not be tolerated, and that silence will not prevail over justice. 💜

This is led by Minister Jaco Londt and the Western Cape Department of Social Development.

This morning, Minister Deidré Baartman and I had the pleasure of joining DeafSA Western Cape’s 5km Silent Walk.

The walk not only shone a spotlight on the gap between the Deaf and hearing communities, but reminded us the importance of bridging divides between our deaf communities and the different spheres of government
