Title: THE HEART THAT HEARS HIM
Jeremiah 29:13 (KJV); And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
Men that are pure in heart hear God.
As such, when the Bible urges us to seek Him with all our hearts, it means that our hearts have to be examined and dealt with against God’s standard of purity in order to hear Him.
Some people assume that searching for Him with all one’s heart is praying for ten hours a day and isolating oneself on a prayer mountain for forty days.
I do not mean to undervalue the importance of fervent and consistent prayer. There is nothing wrong with spending many hours alone with God.
However, it is possible for a man to pray for long but with the wrong heart. He may descend from a mountain after forty days having heard the wrong thing and yielded to a familiar spirit.
In Psalm 139:23-24 the Bible says, “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
The pure heart is tried and tested: for pride, selfishness and true spiritual hunger versus lust. We seek Him with all our hearts when we continually yield to Him as He deals with our hearts and as we do, we hear Him more.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You for Your work in my core and heart of hearts. I know You are breaking and mending, uprooting and planting, dealing with me in ways that only You can. I continuously yield to You and as I do, the clarity of Your voice in my life is magnified, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
