This course is designed for anyone with an interest or passion for learning to DJ from the very beginning. There is no rush to grasp the concepts, as the course will progress at whatever pace you feel comfortable with. The initial lesson is two hours long. Depending on your progress in the first lesson, we can then gauge how many follow up lessons you will require to complete the course.
First Lesson :: R400 per 2 hour session
Follow up lessons : R300 per 2 hour session
(prices will increase 1st October so book now!)
You can also book extra practice sessions (use of the equipment with lecturer available for assistance) : R100 per hour.
The course will cover:
- learning how to mix on a DJ controller and software (Virtual DJ and Traktor)
- learning how to mix on CDJ's
* Equipment layout and functions.
* Setting up your gear.
* mixing theory
* mixing techniques
* beat matching
* song choice and set structure
* dj etiquette
extra lessons can also be booked to cover such topics as :
* Artist promotion through media (Various methods of self promotion
* Recording a demo ( this includes practical lesson where you will record your demo and burn to cd, ready to upload or share with promoters and fans)
