FORMER HSP MEMBER AND CURRENT ALUMNUS MAKES THE CUT FOR SHORTLISTING TO NATIONAL YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AGENCY BOARD VACANCY INTERVIEWS.

We are proud to celebrate a product of our Organisation who has been shortlisted by the Parlementary Joint Sub-Committee on the appointment of NYDA Board vacancies. Micarlo Malan joined the programme on the 27th of June 2008. He served as member of the District 1 Atlantis area while a student at Robinvale High School in the same year he was appointed as District Coordinator of the Atlantis District and surrounding areas. The following year Micarlo was elected as Chairperson of the High school Programme and was the next year re-elected with the leadership collective that served with him. His continued selfless contribution towards the facilitation and development of young people saw him rise to any occasion that seeked to bring initiatives and programmes that benefit young people in schools and communities.

Even out of office he always made it a point to give back to the Organisation by facilitating and working closely with new young and talented youth who are hungry for growth and opportunities. Always on call to serve and help the Organisation at any moment when called.

Much can be said about his contribution. However as we know him, humility and not seeking any recognition for what he does for young people has always kept him grounded and approachable. We are proud and wish him well on what could be a new endevour in developing and uplifting the lives of young people.

We wish him all the best with the Interview that is scheduled to take place tommorrow the 27th of July 2020. The interview will be streamed from Dstv Parlimanent Channel 408 and the Parliment of South Africa page.

We encourage our members and all those who know him to watch the broadcast.

Our continued hope as an organization is that many young people will draw lessons from the life of a young who indeed never had it easy yet rose above the circumstance. More importantly continued to strive for the best and at all times seeks to be a place of inspiration and emotional upliftment to many destitute and vulnerable youth. That a young leader of his calibre who has the political and organizational strength is what the NYDA office needs as an asset to further the development of young people in the country.

Make us Proud.
